Who does what
Language schools teach German. Training places come from the companies that commission us.
We work with many language schools in Indonesia, and many of our candidates learn there. But there is often confusion about who actually places you with a German company. This is how the roles are divided:
Acaluna
Selects candidates, introduces you to the company, supports the interview, contract, visa and departure, and stays by your side during the Ausbildung in Germany.
Partner language schools
Teach German and prepare you for the B1 exam. Very important work, but language schools have no contract with the company you will work for.
Ask any agency: which German company has commissioned you? Can I speak to that company directly before I sign anything? If the answer is vague, the agency is probably only a middleman.
Strict selection
We do not accept everyone. That is exactly what protects you.
The companies we work with invest two to three and a half years in your training. They commission us because they want skilled workers who stay, not people who leave once the visa is issued. So we only propose candidates who meet our strict criteria:
- A long-term plan. You want to build a life and a career in Germany and stay with your company after the Ausbildung.
- A genuine interest in the profession. You know what a dairy technologist or an industrial mechanic does, and you really want to do it.
- B1 in all four modules, without exceptions.
- Two personal interviews with our team before your profile is introduced to a company.
Not for you if …
- you actually want to study at a German university,
- Germany is only a stepping stone to another country or job,
- you want a nursing, hotel or restaurant Ausbildung,
- you are looking for a quick way to earn a lot of money.
In these cases you have no chance with Acaluna. We would rather be honest now.
Why technical professions
Everyone talks about nursing. The real opportunities are in technical work.
Most agencies in Indonesia only offer nursing, hotel or restaurant Ausbildungen. We deliberately focus on technical professions in German industry, because that is where companies struggle most to find young people.
- High training pay. Dairy technologist is the best-paid Ausbildung in Germany: 1,463 euros a month on average (BIBB, 2025).
- Shift allowances. In many industrial companies, night and weekend work is paid extra.
- A clear career path. After qualifying you can become a Meister or Techniker and lead a team.
- Needed for decades. Many older workers are retiring, and few young Germans choose these professions.

Requirements
What you need
- Indonesian citizenship, at least 18 years old when you apply
- 12 years of school completed (SMA, SMK or MA)
- A valid German B1 certificate, passed in all four modules
- A serious interest in one of our technical professions
- Unmarried and without children
- The wish to work in Germany for the long term, not to study and not as a stepping stone
- Willing to stay with the same company for two to three years after the Ausbildung
- No criminal record
B1 is required. Without a valid B1 certificate in all four modules, the German Embassy will not start the visa process. The certificate must still be valid when the Ausbildung starts in August or September, so we recommend taking the B1 exam in November or December of the year before.
Why unmarried? Training pay is designed for young people who have just left school, and during the Ausbildung a family can hardly ever move with you. We would rather be honest now than disappoint you later.

Six steps to your Ausbildung in Germany
We are updating the application process for 2027. The outline stays the same: you never take a step on your own.

Online application
You apply through the official form on this website and upload documents such as your CV and B1 certificate.
Step 2
Short introduction video
You record a short video following our guidelines, so companies can get to know you early on.
Step 3
Interview with the Acaluna team
Our team in Indonesia gets to know you personally, tests your German and your motivation, and explains all requirements and costs.
Step 4
Second interview
We talk about your goals, basic maths and general knowledge, so that we can match you with the right profession and company.
Step 5
Document check and introduction to companies
We check that your documents are complete and introduce your profile to suitable companies.
Step 6
Interview with the company, then the visa
The company interviews you online. If both sides agree, you sign the training contract and we support you through the visa and departure.
Costs
Our costs, openly
Our placement is free for you. The German companies pay us for our work. This is also what German law requires: for placing someone in an Ausbildung, only the employer may be charged.
There is only a small processing fee of 200 euros for visa and departure services, and only after a successful placement, that is, once you have your training contract. Nobody else we know of does it this way. Everything else, such as your German course, the B1 exam, translations and your flight, you pay directly to the provider, never to us.

Yes. A valid B1 certificate passed in all four modules is required before the application process starts. From zero to B1 usually takes about ten to twelve months of intensive classes.
