Find your Ausbildung in Germany: an online course from people who do it every day
We are building a self-guided course that takes you through the whole process, from choosing a profession to your first weeks in Germany. It is based on the same steps we go through with our own candidates. There is no start date yet.
Why we are making this course
Acaluna currently places candidates from Indonesia only. At the same time, we receive many messages from people in other countries who want to do an Ausbildung in Germany and do not know whom to trust. Many have already spent money on agencies without getting anywhere.
We cannot place these applicants ourselves at the moment. But the process is the same for everyone, and most of what makes the difference can be learned: choosing the right profession, reaching the right German level, writing an application German companies take seriously and preparing a complete visa file. That is what the course will teach.
What the course will cover
The content is still being developed. This is our current plan:
- Is an Ausbildung right for me? An honest self-check before you invest a year of your life.
- Choosing a profession with real chances. Where the open places are and how to find out what a profession really involves.
- Your German plan. From zero to B1 and beyond, with the vocabulary you will need at work.
- Finding companies. Where training places are advertised and how to approach companies directly.
- A German application. CV, cover letter and documents in the form German companies expect, with templates.
- The interview. Typical questions, video interviews and how to talk about your motivation.
- Checking your training contract. Pay, probation period, hours and the income threshold for the visa.
- The visa file. Every document, in the right order, and the mistakes that cause delays.
- The first 90 days. Registration, bank account, health insurance, tax ID, housing and your first weeks at work.
Who it is for
- People outside the EU who are seriously considering an Ausbildung in Germany
- People who are willing to learn German to at least B1
- People who prefer to understand the process themselves rather than pay an agency for promises
What the course will not do
We want to be clear about this from the start. The course will not find you a training place, and it cannot guarantee a place or a visa. No one can honestly guarantee either. It will give you the knowledge and tools to apply properly yourself, and it will help you avoid the most expensive mistakes.
